A: To avoid this problem you must first define forbidden processes list and all the security settings. If everything is correct users cannot grant access.
Q: I’ve got “dll not found” error and then something like “device isn’t working properly”.
A: Your system didn’t match minimum system requirements: Windows 98SE, ME, Windows 2000, XP, Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher.
Q: Can I set up Club Control client to start with windows automatically?
A: Yes. Program can be used as standard windows shell replacement. Launch Club Control client. Log in as administrator. Press F 10. Select “Security” tab and check “substitute Windows explorer shell”.
Also you can do it from server. Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button . Go to “Settings” ® “Security” and check “Replace Windows explorer shell”.
Q: How to allow launching more than one program?
A: Open server program . Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button. Go to “Settings” ® “Shortcuts folders” and uncheck “1G” where needed.
Q: How to allow standard Windows autorun?
A: Open server program. Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button. Go to “Settings” ® “Autorun” and check “Use windows autorun”.
Q: I replaced standard Windows XP shell by Club Control. Now I cannot change keyboard layouts.
A:
1. Replace standard shell by Club Control.
2. Go to “Control panel” ® “Regional and Language Options” ® “Languages” tab ® “Details…” button ® “Language Bar” button.
3. Uncheck all options.
4. Press “ ОК ” everywhere.
5. If you want to see language bar go to “Language Bar” again and check all the options. Then apply changes by pressing “OK” button.
Warning!!! Everything must be done in right order.
Q: I use Windows 98/ME and I’ve got an error about internat.exe.
A: You can turn off autorun or language bar to avoid this problem.
Q: I have Club Control 4. How to count traffic with built in proxy server.
A :
1. First you need set proxy server to 127.0.0.1 and port to 3128 in your browser settings. You can change port.
2. Open server program. Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button. Go to “Settings” ® “Traffic” and check “Use built in proxy”. The fill all the fields:
Server address – your proxy server address, Proxy port – your proxy port, CCC proxy port – 3128 (same as in the first point)
3. Edit your price list:
[internet traffic 10240]
0=5
5120=3
[internet 10-23]
60=30
First line means that you can download 10mb per hour from (5mb per 30min etc). You can set this for every tariff.
Second and third lines means that if there are less than 5mb downloaded then 1mb costs 5 and 3 if there are more than 5mb downloaded.
Fourth means that tariff is active between 10:00 and 23:00.
Fifth means that 60min costs 30.
Internet will be available only when “internet” tariff selected.
Q: How to get traffic from the client’s network adapter?
A: Open server program. Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button. Go to “Settings” ® “Traffic” and uncheck “Use built in proxy”.
- Select your network adapter.
- Paste "(proto TCP or proto UDP) and not src net 192.168" to the “Filter” field. Where 192.168 is the starting numbers of your network’s ip.
- Set when to send traffic information to server. For example when traffic increased by 10kb.
- Reboot client program from server or locally by pressing alt+F4.
Q: How to prevent online gaming (how to use firewall)?
A: You must set firewall setting for each tariff. We will show how to do this for "game" tariff. Open server program. Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button. Go to “Settings” ® “Firewall”. Select “ Game ” tariff ( first you must define it ). Add 0.0.0.0.0 -255.255.255.255 to “ Allowed addresses ”. Allowed is more priority than restricted . If you allow ip or port and then deny it, it will be allowed. When client program is in locked mode or there are no traffic left “LOCKED” tariff is active.
Q: I’ve got iphlpapi.dll error when I was trying to launch program.
A: This is known Internet Explorer 5.0 bug. You can read description from Microsoft here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q234573 . The solution is to replace “c:\windows\system\iphlpapi.dll” with this one: http://www.starbandusers.com/downloads/IPHLPAPI.DLL or to upgrade your Internet Explorer to 6.0 or higher.
Q: How can I use “hidden client”?
A: Install client program. Press F10 and set server address and client number. Start server program and check if computer icon’s monitor is red or green. Select computer from a list. Press right mouse button. Go to “ Settings ” ® “ Interface ”. Set “ Hidden client option ”. You must add client program to your windows autorun and not to replace standard shell with it. Also you must not add explorer to your forbidden processes.
