Hi you guys at CC, I like the application so far (testing with intention of buying AE 4.1 18875).

But 1 major error still remains: How do you block users from using the [CTRL] - [ALT] - [DEL] feature in Windows XP?

I have testet some other internet café apps, whitch all could do it!

Vladimir has written this to me: "To lock CTRL+ALT+DEL you can put taskmgr.exe to forbidden processes
so it will not start. To do oi right click on list of computers on the left, choose SETTINGS - Forbidden Processes"

But it does'nt work! ?! ohmy.gif

I also got a link to a English help file "ClubControl.chm" but I have no application that will open it. I have tried to put it instead of the same file in CC but my server application will not open neither the old file og the new one. I just get this error message: "cannot open the file: mk:@MSITStore:C:\Program Files\ClubControl\ClubControl.chm."

It hoped to find the ansher to this question in the help file. To find it here, I have read all the topics in this english forum, without luck.

Vladimir also suggested that I ask the same question in this english forum, so now I do! :-)

If anyone has the ansher, i would be happy and pay for the application right away!

Regards!

First, what exactly you mean by "CTRL+ALT+DEL" ?
Is it Task Manager or logon screen ? It depends from windows settings.
If "Welcome Screen" is turned on, Alt+Ctrl+Del will call Task Manager application. This is blocked by restricted processes
In other case, pressing 3 keys will bring other window, with options to logoff/reboot/launch Task Manager. This Window can not be locked from R.P., but this is not needeed - no dangerous function can be called by customers from here.
Check settings at Windows Control Panel -> User Accounts - Change the way users log on or off -> Use Welcome Screen.

P.S. Note : Restricted Processes don not work in client administration mode, may be this was the point ?

Regarding CHM Help : In modern OS (such as Windows XP) chm help browser must be installed by default. If not, try to install this file : [attachment=68:attachment] or use online manual.

tongue.gif It is exactly the things I have been looking fore! Thanks a lot!

And yes, I use the Admin version until the banks open again after ester. So I have both errors. I will try and change the RegDB settings and see if that helps me over ester!

I will write back so the forum knows how it goes!

thanks again!
