Three persons were injured in Mogadishu's Laba Dhagah neighborhood Monday night after a hand grenade exploded.
Witnesses have told Shabelle Radio that the incident occurred after a man who was sitting at an internet café was attacked by other armed men looking for him. The man reportedly removed a pistol he had and both sides opened fire instantly as one of the attackers threw a hand grenade, wounding three internet browsers inside the café.
Saed Ahmed, the owner the internet café, explained that the men with pistols and grenade, looking for a man in the café, made their way in and started shooting and throwing the grenade while the attacked man defended himself with a pistol he removed as he saw them coming in.
Islamic Courts fighters went to the place, seizing one of the attackers.
This is the second bomb explosion taking place in the capital. A week ago, a huge explosion that rocked part of the city occurred around Guled Hotel in north Mogadishu. What triggered that explosion was not known yet.
